As a 13-year-old, business-owner Carlo
DiLeonardo came to the United States with
his family from Sicily. Several of the recipes
are straight from DiLeonardo's wife
Maddalena DiLeonardo's kitchen. Some items
are named after their seven grandchildren.
In 1976, Carlo DiLeonardo opened the first
Peppino's Pizzeria in Standale with a partner,
Joe Adelfio. In the mid-'80s, the partnership
dissolved, and DiLeonardo became sole
owner. A second pizzeria was opened in
Allendale in 1980 to serve the growing
population of students at Grand Valley State
University. Expansion continued, and there
are now eight Peppino's take-out pizza
resturants in West Michigan. Some are owned
by relatives and others franchised.
Peppino's South is proud to join the Peppino's
family! Conveniently located off Kalamazoo
Avenue and M-6 in Gaines Township, we're
